Realizing the Potential of Agent-Based Social Similations

The aim of Assistant Professor William Lidberg’s research project is to investigate the societal implications of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into Swedish forest management practices. It seeks to understand how AI tools impact decision-making processes, environmental conservation efforts, and stakeholder collaboration in forest management. Through interdisciplinary collaboration between AI researchers and experts in humanistic and social sciences, the project aims to develop ethically and socially responsible AI solutions that align with multiple use forestry objectives and promote sustainable forest management practices.
