Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how laws are enforced and how we adapt to new regulations. In april 2025, WASP-HS hosted an open dialogue together with Swedish Enterprise to discuss the implications of AI on law and regulations. A new report summarizing the discussions is now available on the WASP-HS website.
“Today, all sectors must navigate a wide range of regulatory frameworks, including the GDPR, the AI Act, the Data Act, the Data Governance Act, the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act. At the same time, developments in the United States have led to a strong push for deregulation and public investment aimed at strengthening European competitiveness,” says Anna-Sara Lind, Professor of Public Law, Uppsala University.
WASP-HS invited researchers and business representatives to explore how AI impacts regulation and how regulation impacts AI for the dialogue meeting “En ny regulatorisk verklighet? Perspektiv på AI-juridiken i praktiken” (A New Regulatory Reality? Perspectives on AI Law in Practice) in April, 2025. A report summarizing the event’s discussions is now available on the WASP-HS website.
