PhD Position in Legal Science
Being part of a large research project, the doctoral project is expected to contribute to the AI-care project aims and research questions. The doctoral project should analyse and interconnect different areas of law and regulation relevant to the implementation of AI in healthcare from the perspective of advancing personalized/precision medicine and should include ethical, economic and/or other societal perspectives. Possible research areas include, but are not limited to: Data protection and ethical issues raised by genetic sequencing from both the perspective of patients and public health; Clinical trials, certification and marketing approval of AI healthcare solutions for PM; The role and governance models for intellectual property and trade secrets enforcement; Liability mechanism’s role in the protection of patient integrity.

Post-Doctoral Position In AI Transparency and Consumer Trust
The successful candidate will do research under the framework of the ongoing WASP-HS research project on AI Transparency and Consumer Trust. The project is led by Stefan Larsson, a socio-legal researcher, and Fredrik Heintz, a computer science AI researcher, and includes two already active PhD students. The project studies how AI transparency relates to consumer trust and can enable fair and accountable uses of applied AI in consumer markets. This includes i) how AI is governed in consumer markets at large; ii) the consumers’ norms and understanding of AI, especially with regards to transparency, and iii) how AI explainability can be developed in an applied way in the intersection between social, legal and technical aspects in order to strengthen consumer trust.

PhD Position in Business Administration Focusing on Market Dynamics, and with Special Attention to Purchasing and the Implementation of New AI Technologies
The PhD application is focused on one of the areas where AI applications are expected to have a very large economic impact now and in the near future; the impact on both public and private procurement. The research project that the PhD project is part of aims to contribute to the emerging field of AI research focusing on strategic imperatives: the business development processes of translating AI-generated big data analyses into value-creating services are associated with how AI organization and operations is functioning, and also the strategic and structural issues including the distribution of work and control over AI-related activities.

PhD in Designing Human-AI Entanglements for Health and Wellbeing
The goal of the research is to develop new methods and tools for assisting in the development of AI-based systems with regards to articulating ethical issues in participatory design processes and as part of everyday living; what risks may arise in terms of self-determination and autonomy and how they may be mitigated; how trust, transparency and sense of control can be promoted; and how individuals relate socially, culturally, and emotionally to AI systems in their everyday lives. PhD Position in Political Science With a Focus on Challenges and Opportunities with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Swedish Forests
The PhD position is part of an interdisciplinary project where this sub-project focuses on the challenges and opportunities associated with artificial intelligence (AI) in Swedish forests and forestry. With the support of AI in combination with, for example, airborne laser scanning, there are extensive opportunities to develop high-resolution and high-quality maps that can form the basis for more efficient planning to realize Swedish forest and climate policy.
