Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program – Humanity and Society (WASP-HS) and the SciLifeLab and Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science (DDLS) are opening another joint call aiming to deepen the understanding of how artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous systems, and data-driven methodologies affect the life sciences, medicine, and/or society. The call is now open and closes on November 4, 2026.
WASP-HS and DDLS are both committed to forming meaningful collaborations to bridge the gaps between the scientific disciplines of the programs, as was also stated in the donation letter from The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. The research proposals for this call should be of a visionary nature and have a clear scientific contribution for either the life sciences or the humanities and social sciences, or both.
Who can Apply?
Any researcher with a PhD affiliated with a Swedish University or the Swedish Museum of Natural History can apply. Project participation of researchers from both the DDLS and WASP-HS research areas is encouraged but not a strict requirement.
