WASP-HS Postoctoral Scholarships at MIT
In collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), WASP-HS invites applications for Postodoctoral fellows working in areas related to the impact of technology and computing on society. This could include, but is not limited to, examining the social, historical, philosophical, legal, ethical and cultural aspects of the opportunities and challenges of the development and use of computing, AI, and data sciences. Applicants are encouraged to apply in those or other areas related to the impacts of technology on society.
WASP-HS and DDLS Joint Call for Seed-Money
DDLS and WASP-HS are committed to forming meaningful collaborations to bridge the gaps between the scientific disciplines of DDLS and WASP-HS. The Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation has earmarked funding for such joint efforts in their donation. As a first step in their collaboration, DDLS and WASP-HS now announce a call for seed-money to explore the possibility of developing joint research projects addressing mutually relevant themes. This call is intended to give researchers from DDLS and WASP-HS resources to develop such joint research projects. The proposed collaborations should address issues of major significance that bridge the thematic profiles of DDLS and WASP-HS.
PhD in Designing Human-AI Entanglements for Health and Wellbeing
The goal of the research is to develop new methods and tools for assisting in the development of AI-based systems with regards to articulating ethical issues in participatory design processes and as part of everyday living; what risks may arise in terms of self-determination and autonomy and how they may be mitigated; how trust, transparency and sense of control can be promoted; and how individuals relate socially, culturally, and emotionally to AI systems in their everyday lives. The specific PhD research plan will be adapted to the candidates’ research plan, profile, and interests.

PhD Position in Political Science With a Focus on Challenges and Opportunities with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Swedish Forests
The PhD position is part of an interdisciplinary project where this sub-project focuses on the challenges and opportunities associated with artificial intelligence (AI) in Swedish forests and forestry. With the support of AI in combination with, for example, airborne laser scanning, there are extensive opportunities to develop high-resolution and high-quality maps that can form the basis for more efficient planning to realize Swedish forest and climate policy.

PhD Position in Spatial Planning of Swedish Forests with LiDAR and AI
The PhD position is part of an interdisciplinary project where this part is focused on spatial planning. The overall objective of this project is to develop maps that enable detailed spatial planning of infrastructure, forestry, environmental restoration, and climate adaption. PhD Position in Cognitive Science at Lund University
The PhD student position is placed within the multidisciplinary project Social interaction with autonomous artifacts in cognitive science and theoretical philosophy and tied to the Cognitive Robotics Lab and CogComLab.
